Mercer’s Information Research Center (IRC) stays within the boundaries of copyright laws and licensing restrictions when responding to research requests. With the exception of US government publications (which are not copyrighted), journals, directories, surveys, and books are covered by copyright law and licensing agreements. When resources relevant to a research request fall outside Mercer’s existing licensing agreements, the IRC will investigate the availability and cost of accessing the resources and of including them in our research responses. Certain resources may not be accessible or may be accessible only at a significant cost. We will communicate with customers about additional costs associated with accessing such resources. Customers should understand that all resources included in an IRC research response are for the customer’s use only. The customer is not authorized to copy or re-distribute the resources for any purpose. If you have any questions about copyright permissions and re-use rights, please contact the IRC via the Research Request Form. |
