HRadio: Government initiative ties up capital in exchange for high returns

In 2009 the US government announced a new initiative – the public-private investment program (PPIP) -- to increase the liquidity of securitized markets. How do PPIP offerings mesh with various investment strategies? Alan Papier, leader of Mercer’s fixed income research group for the Americas, explains the origins of the program for HRadio listeners, and talks about which investors may find the program attractive, trade-offs investors must make in exchange for high returns and the different options available.   (Podcast, 30 Oct 2009)
